Teflon, whose full English name is polytetrafluoroethylene (abbreviated as PTFE) with a molecular formula of —[CF₂＝CF₂]—n, is a fully fluorinated crystalline thermoplastic. The resin is white in its natural color. It possesses excellent properties such as resistance to high and low temperatures, low friction and wear, chemical corrosion resistance, high electrical strength, non-stickiness, and weather resistance, along with good physical and mechanical properties.
